Books vs. Cigarettes

I'm working on some illustrations for a few George Orwell essays. Books vs. Cigarettes is an awesome essay where Orwell calculates the cost of all the books he owns and compares that to the price of smoking and drinking for a year, roughly and kind of concisely estimated. Thusly! showing that all ye who (in 1946) used expense as a reason for not reading books/periodicals/etc were actually quoting a pretty unreasonable excuse. Anyway, hunt it down! + watch this space for more George Orwell essay pics.
